Jonathan Jaffe focuses primarily on consumer protection, assisting consumers in rectifying improper behavior by corporations and other organizations. More specifically, Jonathan focuses on Internet-related consumer issues. Most recently, Jonathan brought to settlement a major class action against Facebook, Inc., for the misappropriation of users’ names and likenesses in advertisements.

Prior to the
Fraley v. Facebook settlement, Jonathan assisted attorneys in multiple consumer protection class actions. Before admission to the California Bar in 2009, Jonathan had accumulated 15+ years experience as a Internet security expert, building parts of some of the world’s largest corporate network security infrastructures. He now combines his technological expertise with his passion for privacy and justice to provide consumer-focused legal services.

The multi-year recipient of the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship, Jonathan received his law degree from the University of San Francisco in 2009. He received his M.A. from the University of Washington, his B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, and a full scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education for post-graduate studies at Keio University in Japan.
